Tim and Sam Dixey Wedding reception 2/9/11 My husband and I would like to thank Louise and her staff for the most outstanding hospitality ,food and service .We were a party of 17 .The food was fantastic with each and every guest commenting so. One of our guest was a restauranteur from Cambridge and said the food was magnificent .The whole evening was faultless . Once again we would like to say thanks a million for making our special day perfect and we will see you again soon , Tim and Sam Dixey .

My friend and I dined with you on Weds evening, her second time, my first. Absolutely delicious food, we had anti pasti for starters which was divine and then I had pasta and my friend had lasagne, both equally delicious. The resturant is clean, tastefully decorated and the service superb, everything came with a smile we will be back.

On sept 2nd My son Tim and his lovely bride Sam had a small wedding party at vercellis . The food and service were first class, and made the day special. The staff are so helpfull, nothing was to much trouble . Every guest commented on the food , all were totaly impressed. Thank you all for making a very special day even more perfect

We dined at Vercelli's on Friday night. My husband had the monkfish wrapped in parma ham and I had the pan-fried sea bass with ginger, chilli and lime. Both absolutely delicious. The ambiance was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly.The house wine was good and the bill very reasonable. Shall certainly be returning.

My partner and I dined at Vercelli today for lunch. It was our first visit there and we will definitely be returning. I had the Bruschetta for my starter, which was fresh and full of flavour. My partner had the Potato Skins with garlic dip which was very morish, they were delicious!! For our main, we both had Garlic and Herb Marinated Steak sizzler. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. It was accompanied with onions and peppers and roasted potatoes. The service was A+ and staff were friendly. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Hexham. Many thanks for our enjoyable dining experience.

We had a meal in this Italian Restaurant on the recommendation of another Trip Advisor member. The meal was excellent - the best steak I have eaten in a long long time - cooked to perfection. My husband had monkfish which was also excellent. Service was first-class and nothing a bother to the staff. We have already recommended to others!

Visited Vercelli on 28 September on the recommendation of a Tripadvisor member - we had a excellant meal - in fact the best steak I have tasted in a long time - cooked to perfection. Excellent service as well. We have already recommended the restaurant to a number of people! Will certsaianly visit again if we are in the area.

I would like to thank Louise and all her staff for making my daughters wedding a day to remember the food was fantastic with a brilliant atmosphere and the service was second to none. Thank you once again Joan Baty Mother of the Bride.

I live in Carlisle but have some very good friends in Hexham who introduced me to Vercellis. I have been several times now and have recommended it to many people in Carlisle. It in my mind is one of the finest italians not only for the delicious food but the hosts (Louise, Bridget and their lovely staff), go out of their way to make your evening special, nothing is too much trouble and this is certainly one place where you will want to visit again and again. Thankyou for the excellent food and service last pm. We all had a great time. You made our freinds retirement dinner really nice. I will be back... looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

Vercelli staff made the party from Waitrose (Hexham) feel very welcome and inviting. The Partners, from Waitrose, were holding the annual quiz night and Vercelli provided the space to accommodate. The buffet meal provided was excellent and there were plenty to go around. Try the potatoe pizza if you get the chance to dine at Vercelli as it was delicious.

There Review:- Our party of 26 people (ages ranging from 12 to 77) were celebrating a special family birthday and asked Vercelli if they could provide us with a buffet meal. "No problem" they said - pop in for a cappuccino and we'll sort it out for you. Louise, Bridgette and Stefano were fantastic - in no time the menu was sorted, the wine and Prosecco ordered and they didn't even flinch when I asked to plaster their walls with embarrassing photos of the the Birthday Girl! The staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly on arrival. We loved Louise's idea of having the table in a 'U' shape; it made conversation easier and gave a cosier feel to the party. We'd hardly made a dent in the huge array of starters when out came dish after dish of delicious main courses - even the vegetarians were spoilt for choice. The staff were very professional and nothing was too much trouble - they all showed they had fine voices when it came to bringing out the cake and singing 'Happy Birthday' with most of the other customers joining in - the atmosphere was buzzing! Thank you Vercelli for a memorable night which was fantastic value for money. There was only one thing I wish I could have changed - the hangover!! Carol

Last evening me and my friend Lisa came to Vercellis for a bite of supper.its the first time I have visited the restaurant under the new ownership. I was pleasently surprised at the change in the interior the atmosphere was lovely, the service spot on with very pleasent and helpful staff but most of all the food was delightful, served with a bottle of house red, it was fresh, with beautiful flavours. I can personaly recommend the chicken and asparagus risoto. The cost of the meal was very reasonable and I shall become a regular visitor to enjoy the restaurant with family and friendsto explore the rest of the delectible menu. well done
