A visit to Vercelli’s is enough in itself to make a trip to Hexham worthwhile. But it is also the ideal place to dine before or after a trip to Hexham Races, a tour of the many Roman sites and Hadrian’s Wall nearby or a peaceful stroll around the beautiful Hexham Abbey itself only yards away.


Vercelli’s cuisine is imaginative without being ostentatious, the emphasis being on using only the freshest ingredients and home made stocks, letting the natural flavour of the food speak for itself. Whether it be a simple Pasta dish or a selection from our a la carte menu, it will be prepared with attention to detail and an emphasis on quality.

All meals are cooked from the time of ordering and only the best of fresh ingredients are used – locally sourced where possible.
